*Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwn* Well I better try and grab a 20min power nap before getting ready for work. I stayed up all night otnight watching the lunar eclipse. It was really cool to watch!

Greenwood Family Portrait
Well I wrapped up the post work on the Greenwood family pics from this weekend. They had a ton of fun with the camera and were game for anything I wanted to try with them. It was a fun end to the summer season.
Greenwood Family Portraits
This weekend I shot a lovely family up the canyon. This is a candid of two of the sisters. It was a great afternoon and a perfect location.

Found a great barn last night and had some fun with it. It was located in Lehi very near Thanksgiving point.

Lake Mary Trail - Wasatch Mountains Utah
Took some great shots on a hike I did this week up above Brighton in the Wasatch Mountains. This trail goes from Big Cottonwood canyon up past the lakes and over the summit then drops back into Little Cottonwood Canyon with Alta and Snowbird.

Deserted shores
Swung by the dried salt flats near Great Salt Lake and took this capture as a storm front rolled across the western skies. The storms this week have provided some stunning cloud textures.

Cornfield Sunset
I've been itching for a bit to get out in the corn fields for a sunset photo now for a few days. Tonight I finally had some time and a storm system had just rolled through leaving a nice pattern of clouds for the shots ... I am pleased with the final shots.

Dawn Breaks at the St. George Temple
Took a half dozen shots of the temple while down at St. George this weekend. It was a beautiful morning and the sun splashed color all over the photos as it spilled over the horizon.

Panorama Southwest of Salt Lake CIty
On the way home tonight I took this shot from the air park south of Salt Lake City just after sunset.
It is the first Panorama I have tried and I had to manually stich it in Photoshop because I don't own andy good stiching apps.
I think it turned out decent though there is still some faint imbalances between the stiched images.

Young love under the trellace
Well I came across the young couple who were taking pics of one another while in the gardens at Thanksgiving Point. I offered to take some pics of them both together. This is one of about a dozen I shot for them in various locations.
Young Bride
While looking for fun shots to do some HDR work in the garden, I spotted this young bride posing as I peeked through a hedge. I thought the hedge would frame her nicely.
Ivy Tunnel at dusk
This was another nice HDR that I was pleased with from the gardens. This shot was taken after dusk with 5 images on my D200 mounted in a flower bed. I really need to get a wide angle lens though as all my shots have been done with a 70-300mm NIKKOR.
Lantern in the Garden
A fun HDR I snapped in the Thanksgiving Point Gardens tonight. This image was taken about 50min after sunset but there was still some ambient light in the sky. Image shot with 5 bracketed shots.

Provo Temple Spire
A close up of the spire with some passing clouds at the Provo Temple. HDR shot with Nikon D200 - Nikon NIKKOR 70-300mm zoom lens.
Weddings at Provo Temple
A warm and sunny Saturday morning at Provo Temple. HDR shot with Nikon D200 - Nikon NIKKOR 70-300mm zoom lens. I wanted to see how a mid morning HDR would look.

Evening Storm HDR v2 - First HDR Image!
Well I'm pleased with the final image. I caught this stunning shot of the setting sun busting through the broken cloud layer. I uploaded the orignal image to my flickr site as well as the inital HDR image which I ended up masking and blending with the untouched image to create this composition.
This image was shot with my SONY Cyber-shot if you can believe it. Whoever said you had to bring out the big gun cameras to pull off a great shot?
Enjoy!
